Birthday

I’ve had a birthday today, and this is the oldest I’ve been so far. The immortality bracelet is still working!

We had a lovely day in New Brighton yesterday and the sun showed up early enough for us to have a warm and bright afternoon. We walked miles again and had fish and chips to offset the exercise. Apparently I slept most of the way back on the train. We ended the night at the local Wetherspoons where I took advantage of the great beer cellar and the ongoing beer festival there. Some lovely ales that I’d not tried before ensured a good night’s sleep.

I had a huge full English breakfast and caught up on yesterday’s thrashing of Italy’s Women’s Rugby (Six Nations) by England’s Red Roses, now under Marlie Packer’s captaincy after Sarah Hunter’s retirement.

For the rest of the day I’ve been sowing more seeds that came in the post for the summer garden.

I now have sown and germinating the following:

  • Bergamot ‘Panorama’ mixed
  • Verbena ‘Compact’ mixed

If only a few of these make it to summer then my garden will be stuffed with flowers to attract pollinating insects.
